SIMPLE STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO LOSING WEIGHT

Healthy Turkey Burgers

Turkey Burgers are a healthy alternative to Hamburgers and odds are, you won't be able to tell the bird-ones apart from the cow-ones. Turkey is one of the leanest cuts of meat at your local market, and is generally priced much lower than beef.

apple_red.gif You will need: 1 pound of ground turkey, 1 package of small hamburger buns, mustard (your favorite flavor) OR light Mayo, tomato, lettuce, onion, salt, pepper and pickles.  No calorie butter spray OR no calorie butter flavored cooking spray.  Sliced cheese, if desired.

apple_red.gif Spray buns with butter spray and place onto a very warm (but not roasting hot!) pan.  Bun should cook slowly until GOLDEN brown.  Remove and place on plate.  Next, salt and pepper meat as desired. Grab a handful of ground turkey and press into a patty.  Place into your skillet and 'fry'.  Drain on paper towels to help absorb fat.

Assemble as you would your hamburger.  Calories: About 250 using mustard and skimmed mozzarella cheese.
